Guy Claxton is a cognitive scientist. He is the author and co-author of many books including Hare Brain, Tortoise Mind: Why Intelligence Increases When You Think Less, Wise Up: The Challenge of Lifelong Learning, New Kinds of Smart and many more.
He is an impressive academic and professor with the ability to talk with such a down to earth quality that you are not intimidated by his enormous brain.
He guides us through our archaic approach to the education system. We explore what do we want our children to learn, How to regurgitate facts or how to think creatively with curiosity? Guy emphasises that yes results matter but equally as important is the type induvial that goes out in the world. What an illumining and educational conversation.
