When was the last time you treated yourself to some self care?🤔

Maybe it was a pedicure or a spa day.💅

Maybe it was a cup of coffee☕ on the front porch with the sunrise and sounds of nature.

Maybe it was a massage or facial.💆‍♀️

Or maybe you can’t even remember!😟

Today, on Episode #73 of the Habit Thrive Podcast, we are talking about three ways to make this month a month of self care.🤗

After all, part of living Fit, Fearless & Fabulous is knowing when and how to make self care a priority.

Just like anything else, self care is a habit. The more you practice, the better you get at implementing that habit on a daily basis.🥰

So how can you start making self care a habit?

1. Plan your self care

Book an appointment for a pedicure or massage, or simply block off a set time in your planner to rest and rejuvenate.

It doesn’t have to take an hour or more out of your day (unless you want it to!😉).

Just spend 20 minutes relaxing on a heating pad, or extend your skincare routine with a self-oil massage.

2. Find in-the-moment opportunities for self care

Take a few deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth, and feel yourself in the moment.

Sit on the edge of your bed in the mornings and do a few shoulder rolls and neck stretches.

Even just pausing for a moment to appreciate the sights👀, sounds👂 and scents👃 around you can help you feel calmer and more relaxed.

3. Think ahead to your future self

Where do you want to be after the holidays? In January? In the spring, even?

Think ahead🤔 and plan some self care such as spa retreats, mini vacations, lunches with friends or shopping sprees.

Anything you would look forward to that cultivates optimism for you is the perfect act of self care!❤️
