November is coming to an end, and the ushering in of December means incoming holidays, cooking, cleaning, shopping, to-do lists … whew.😖

Before we dive into all that, here on Episode #74 of the Habit Thrive Podcast, we are taking a moment to honour🤗 the end of November.

In the hustle and bustle that naturally comes with this time of the year, we have a tendency to rush through😬 from month to month without even noticing the changes going on around us.

Have you ever gotten through a month, or a holiday, or even a year and thought, “What the heck happened?...”🤔

As we move from an often dark and dull November into a December of more light and moisture, an end-of-the-month ritual can help calm and reset us.😇

There are three simple steps to creating this ritual:

Step 1: Remember and Release

Remembering the relationships, events, projects, and experiences that you had in November.

Picture them, write them down✏️ in your gratitude journal, or even record a voice memo on your phone so they are there to remember and savour.

Then, take a moment to release the discussions, arguments, perfectionism, expectations, pain and whatever else comes to mind.

Simply say out loud📣 what you are releasing, or have a more ceremonial release by writing these things down and then crumpling up or burning the paper.

Step 2: Visualize and Plan

Cultivate optimism for the month ahead by thinking forward💭 to December.

What do you want to do? Where do you want to go? How do you want to feel?

Picture it, and plan to make it happen.🙌

Step 3: Feel the Power and Magic of the Ritual

Notice how you feel in this moment, as you remember, release and plan.

You may feel happiness😊 recalling memories of this month.

You may feel relief😮‍💨 letting go of things that have been weighing on you.

You may feel excitement😃 for things to come.

And once you notice, you can move forward into a fabulous December ahead.
