As Habit Thrivers, many of us have spent weeks, months - or even years - on what we think of as “perfecting”👌 our habits and routines.

And while it’s true that I believe in finding what works and sticking to it👍, sometimes we just have to step out of our comfort zone a little bit.😬

  • On vacation
  • During holidays
  • Weekend getaways
  • Work trips

Even things like bad weather❄️, power outages💡 and illness😷 can throw a wrench into our best-laid plans and routines.

But it doesn’t have to be a bad thing!☝️

Instead of worrying about how we can’t get it all in, we can turn that change into a positive.🤗

And, in fact, breaking away from your habits and routines can help you hone in on them, ultimately leading to personal growth and development.💪

Today, on Episode #83 of the Habit Thrive Podcast, we are talking about The Benefits of Breaking Routines.

While habits and routines are important to helping manage our time⏰ and our lives, sometimes we can become stuck in a rut😐, so to speak.

And, often, it takes us getting out of that comfort zone and looking at our habits from a fresh perspective🤔 to take our routines to the next level (or at least make them more efficient or enjoyable).

Let’s say that a couple of months ago you noticed your hair felt dry and damaged.

So you began using an oil treatment on it whenever you washed🚿 and dried, and now your hair feels more soft and silky than you ever remembered.💁‍♀️

But, then, you go on vacation. And you forget your precious oil.😦

After a couple of washes, you notice your hair still feels fabulous.🤗

So now you know you don’t have to use your oil every time. Adjust that routine when you get home, stretch your product to more uses, still have gorgeous locks, and save some money.🤑

It’s a win-win!🥳

So take a trip, take a break, take a peek at your habits and routines.

Get creative with your habits, and see how they boost those feelings of Fit, Fearless & Fabulous!💃
