Distant healing is a broad term that encompasses any type of healing that takes place without physical contact between the healer and the recipient. There are many different types of distant healing, including energy healing, Reiki, prayer, and shamanic healing.
Amy is joined by guest Joan Dohey, a distant healing practitioner, to discuss the benefits of distant healing and how it can be used to improve your health and well-being. Joan shares her personal experiences with distant healing and explains how she uses it to help her clients.
Joan Dohey is a retired primary teacher whose mission is to help others live more healthy, fulfilled lives. Through life’s experiences, observation and study, she has learned a great deal about health and healing on all levels. With that in mind, she has certified in modalities that address problems on the Physical, mental/emotional and spiritual levels.

Joan knows from experience that recovering from an illness takes time and effort, and as a result, embraces prevention and self-care to maintain good health. Through a number of modalities, she offers help to those who are looking to maintain good health or who are on the path to wellness.

Her philosophy at its core is that self-love is crucial and her aim is to spread the word and help others discover and cultivate that self-love and to provide some tangible tools to use on an every day basis. Taking care of ourselves on all levels is important to our overall health, and to help us live a joyful life.

Joan is passionate about distance healing methods, so that people can access healing even when they cannot attend sessions in person. Too many people have limited access to healing practitioners and distance work can effectively address that problem.

This year, Joan is studying Yoga Teacher Training to enhance offerings to clients.
