Each year, increasing numbers of children are being diagnosed with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, learning disabilities and other neurological disorders. Parents are bombarded by different theories as to the causes of their child’s difficulties, and often confused by the many approaches offered to help them manage or overcome, behavioral, emotional, learning, and social challenges. Dr. Robert Melillo has spent much of his career researching the underlying causes of neurobehavioral disorders. This work led him to suggest a concept called functional disconnection that he and his colleagues suggest may be the primary issue in most learning disabilities and behavioral disorders. Join host Alex Doman and his guest Dr. Melillo as they discuss neurological disorders in childhood, functional disconnection, and drug-free treatment options intended to help both children and adults improve brain function.
