Addiction is covered in a lot of shame and stigma yet we all know someone who has previously battled with, or is currently battling with one. Some substance dependencies are obvious and others are shrouded in secrecy. People from all different backgrounds suffer from the mental and physical toll it takes on them and their inner circle. Society can be quick to villainize people with addictions, without considering what led them there in the first place, making it increasingly harder to choose sobriety in a world obsessed with excess.

How can we support a loved one who needs to recognise and recover from a substance abuse problem, and how can we do this with grace, sensitivity and care? Watch as our host duo Rachel Calland and Sinead Minkah are joined by guest Jo Golding in the Magnify Studio for Ep 34 The Reality of Living With, Recovering and Healing Addiction.
