Today's WOD inspiration isjust doing things that makethe body feel and move well.

It also folds in a healthylayer of don't worry if yousuck at it, just practice andyou'll get better.

Today we go after this ina classic format of a 2:1 ratio which interestingly enough.

The ratio that I shoot for(although I rarely reach it) of recovery to training, is a 1:1

Today we slow the WODdown a little bit and go slow and controlled focusingon time under tension andbuilding important skills.

The first drill is is the cossacksquat which we've used herea few timesbut as of late.

I've noticed that it is a reallygreat drill for helping in any low back tension I might have.

I have no proof but I believethis is because the drill allowsmy to 're-center my pelvis'

Another drills that is a greatfull body drill and I believe moreuseful and functional than the TGU is the windmill.

(due to it being in the standingposition and less time under tension on the weak link aka..the shoulder)

On top of that even when myback is 'dicey' the drill helpsme to feel better.

This a great full body drillthat can be manipulated formany, end goals.

The last on drill today is thepistol or assisted pistol. Thisdrill is my nemesis and I've beenhorrible at it for years.

Probably because I'm always messing with old back issue stuff.

Anyhow I've been trainingthe asst. pistol for 2x5/5 every WOD for a month orso and it progressing nicelyto the degree that I'm prettysolid for a couple rep eachside unsupported.

The pistol is the skill partin today's WOD.

This is a nice slowdown WOD before we blaze to deeply intothe new year. Focusingon intent and the progressiveoverload concept of time under tension
