Episode Summary:

This is part two of our two-part series about child development. As I mentioned in the last episode, there are a lot of times when I’m struggling with a certain type of behavior with my kids, and understanding what’s really going on with them developmentally has been SO helpful, so I wanted to pass that information along to you guys as well. If you haven’t already heard part 1 of this series, push pause and go back to listen to that part first. This part will make a lot more sense if you hear that first. So with that, let’s continue our conversation with Julia Pappas.

Julia Pappas is a Cognitive Psychologist, Parent Coach, and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. She has over 15 years of experience working with parents and their children, and has particular expertise in child development, behavioral regulation, and learning needs. Julia believes in the power of parents to change the world by being the best resource, inspiration, and support they can be to their children. She empowers parents to own their mission, discover limiting beliefs and parenting blocks, and helps develop essential skills so that parents can have the most fulfilling years of their life while raising children.

(Editor's Note: I inaccurately refer to Julia Pappas as a doctor in this episode. To clarify, Julia Pappas has her Advanced Graduate Studies degree, but has not earned a doctorate).
