With more than 30 years of military and federal law enforcement experience, Robert Ledogar began his career in the United States Navy as master-at-arms petty officer—military police investigator and instructor. He established himself as a values-based leader, centered on integrity, compassion, community, and respect. As a former Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal, reporting to the presidentially appointed U.S. Marshal and Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal, Robert managed missions for the Eastern District of New York, the eighth largest district in the nation. He was directly involved in enforcement, criminal investigations, judiciary and dignitary protection, fugitive apprehension, and prisoner security and handling. He supervised the most diverse unit of men and women and was part of the nation's largest fugitive task force. Robert currently resides in Florida with his wife, Roseanne. He anticipates a 2024 launch of his new book “LED: Being Brooklyn,” a detailed account of how he was fired from the U.S. Marshals Service (just 70 days outside of his retirement) for honoring his professional oath and strong Brooklyn upbringing.
