Have you ever heard the phrase chase the carrot? When we chase a carrot our mindset is only on an immediate goal. We often do anything to achieve it, giving in to the momentary satisfaction instead of focusing on the long term results of our well-being.
When we reach these goals, or maybe don't even attain them, we feel like there's something wrong with us because our current mental state isn't where we thought it would be.
Chris Robinson, a high performer in business and most importantly innercise, worked rapidly in his 20s to achieve success in real estate, a life that millions are striving to attain today. While wealth and finances contribute to opportunities in life, Robinson says that goal of wealth is always a moving target... you continue to chase and chase and chase the carrot.
He joins the gr@titude podcast to discuss one of the most impactful contributors to our mental health, innercise. Robinson shares how to build a healthy mindset and how to overcome fear of failing, being embarrassed, ashamed, or judged.
Robinson is normalizing humanness and understanding that we all deal with all kinds of challenges, insecurities, and anxieties. If we can bring it down to a human level and understand that we'll persevere, what we're going through is temporary and will pass through the system.
