Joan Travers, is a wilderness guide and experiential educator. She takes people on remote wilderness experiences fostering connection to wild places. Her mission is to help facilitate leadership development and foster personal growth for her clients. Completely unplugged at sea. she shares her story of personal growth when she learned to sail on several 3-4 week expeditions along the rugged Baja peninsula coast. Whether it was through the stillness under the stars or the strong force of the angry sea tossing her boat to and fro, she gained incredible perspective. While she did learn how to sail under the toughest conditions, it was the unexpected self-discovery that has had a lifelong effect.
