This is the story of Mike's ascent from rolling out of bed untrained for the local 15K Boilermaker, to finding a taste for training and what he's capable of, and then unlocking potential with his runs at Boston and New York City Marathons. My favorite part of this discussion is how much Mike looks "outward" to his friends, family, community and training partners in a sport that is otherwise quite solo. Mike fully recognizes the role of these people in his life and how they contributed to his unfolding accomplishments. This was a conversation I have been waiting for and I hope you enjoy listening as much as we did recording.
