This podcast explores needling technique, indications, and clinical applications for the individual Extra Points Back 4 - 9. As seasoned practitioners work many years with different points, a certain distinct pattern of usage arises from these experiences. This discussion is more highly focused than what an acupuncture textbook can provide. The conversation is based on our own experience in working with these individual points over a period of 30 years in clinical practice. It is our hope that acupuncture practitioners will gain a refreshed new view of these points with renewed clinical insights. About the authors: Dr. Daoshing Ni is the co-founder of Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and serves as chair of the Doctoral program in Women’s Health and Reproductive Medicine. Dr. James Skoien is an international lecturer on the topic of Chinese Medicine with over 33 years of teaching experience.
