Micah Clasper-Torch is a multi faceted artist and entrepreneur who facilitates collaborations, curates experiences, and writes about startups, life and culture on her blog (www.micahclasper-torch.com). Micah started her first business designing and selling jewelry at age 11, and went on to study Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute for Technology in New York City. In 2007 she produced a large scale fashion and music event called VERVEnyc, with a mission to support up and coming designers and musicians, and in 2010 she hosted an exhibition of emerging designers alongside notable 20th century furniture design to raise awareness for the Save The Garment Center campaign. Micah spent 4 more years in the world of art and design, working at a Chelsea art gallery and designing Hardware for Coach handbags, before being drawn to the startup world where she worked for notable companies such as Bonobos and Birchbox. In 2012 she founded CityBird, an online registry for giving and receiving local experiences which she ran alongside her co-founder for 3 years.
Micah currently spearheads liquor sponsorships and strategic partnerships for IVY, an organization that brings together the next generation of entrepreneurs, creatives and innovative professionals through a variety of unique social experiences. She has collaborated with many world-class brands to provide opportunities to engage with attendees, create unique content, and reach IVY's national audience of influencers.
