Dr. Skye Fitzpatrick is a BPD researcher and the TULiP Lab Director at York University. Her current research interests focus on the examination of emotion processes in the treatment of borderline personality disorder (BPD) and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and identifying ways to streamline and refine concurrent treatments for these challenges.

In this episode Skye and Laurie discuss the importance of research from an academic, clinical and lived experience perspective. They discuss the importance of peer support, reducing the current challenges with gatekeeping within BPD care, and how intersectionality and stigma impact research and the lives of people with BPD.
