“ARE WE CONTINUALLY SEARCHING FOR THAT KNOWLEDGE THAT OUR NEXT EPIPHANY OCCURS?”
What’s up everybody and welcome the 8th episode of Outside The Rack brought to you by Kinetic Performance the makers of Gymaware. In this show we are going to try to dive a little deeper into the minds of the top practitioners in the world of sport performance to learn a bit more about who they actually are and how they got to where they are at today. Today we are joined by USA Swimming’s Director of Sports Medicine and Science, Keenan Robinson. Keenan, thanks for being with us.
Before we start, who is Keenan Robinson?
Father of two, and a guy who really wants to do everything possible to hear our national anthem on repeat in Tokyo.
1) Describe a learning situation that brought about an epiphany in your career
Training wise, learning about the tier system from Joe Kenn.
Undergrad-an internship with Gary Gray
Still searching for things to provide the next epiphany
2) If you could ask one questions and you know you would get the answer what would that be and why?
What’s my purpose? I think I know what that is, but you can never be sure.
3) What’s your escape?
Putting my two kids to bed and reading to them.
We are hoping to provide the best possible content for strength coaches with each of our shows. If feel this could provide value for anyone else in the strength and conditioning field please feel free to share.
