This podcast is part of the This is part of the Summer Escape series for the Caregiving Podcast Network. Pretty much on every given day, we Caregivers have this little voice in our heads which tell us about all the things we SHOULD be doing even when we’re not doing the million things we do as caregivers. Maybe it’s finally cleaning out the closet and donating the clothes we wore when we were 20 and about 5 sizes smaller, maybe it’s calling back someone, but I’m just not in the mood to talk about my life right now, or maybe it’s signing up for that yoga class that everyone tells me I should start. Today, I want to introduce to you an idea I hear awhile ago on a great podcast by Anna Sale called “Death, Sex and Money” Ellen Burstyn, the Academy Award–winning actress, was being interviewed and she explained that every once in a while she finds in helpful to simply ignore that naggy little voice in her head which reminds her of all the things she should be doing, and instead, she just does the things she feel like doing.
