#COVID19 SERIES, E1: Jennifer Xyooj on mask making + wellness practices from a public health lens

HOL would like to present to you the first episode of our #COVID19 series! In this series, we invite trusted friends/colleagues in a variety of different fields (i.e. public health, social work, etc.) to share their experiences of navigating this global pandemic and some important wellness recommendations and tips during these difficult times.

For our first episode, HOL invited Jennifer Xyooj to speak about her experiences as someone with a public health background that works to support communities thrive. Jennifer identifies as a Hmong American and holds a Master’s in Public Health in Community Health Sciences and a specialization in Health Education/Promotion.
As someone who is informed in the field of public health, Jennifer shares her own experiences of staying informed and how to make the best out of challenging situations. Some topics covered in this episode include: important health care precautions as advised by the Center for Disease Control, best foods to strengthen immunity, how to reduce stress through a variety of wellness practices, and her recent passions to support communities via face mask making.
