It’s impossible to count the times that we’ve been told to live life with no regrets… but is that a realistic, or even worthy goal? Today we have an honest conversation about the rather taboo topic of regret: what it is, what to do if you feel it, and even wonder if it is possible that this rather uncomfortable experience can be beneficial.

Listen to learn more about:

  • The difference between regrets of action and regrets of inaction
  • Why ruminating on regrets of action - like moral failings - is not serving you
  • The three regrets of inaction - boldness, foundation, and connection regrets
  • How regret can lead us to our values and help us to shape our life going forward
  • The false promise of "if only" regret thinking (hint: your life would not be perfect and painless right now "if only" you had done X instead of Y)
  • What to do RIGHT NOW if you are feeling regret

Plus, Andrea works through a really raw friendship regret; Jessica explores a time she regretted in her relationship with Andrea; and Jessica almost spits out her coffee when Andrea shares her not-so-evolved reaction to a relationship that ended poorly. NO REGRETS, right?
