In this podcast I had the pleasure to sit down with Diddi Brown, who had an incredible transformation and life-changing experience with the help of Intermittent Fasting.
How Did You Find Kinobody And Get Started With Intermittent Fasting?
About a year ago, Diddi stumbled upon a personal trainer on Instagram. She was shocked to see the crazy diet of his. It was filled with pop tarts and other "cheat" foods.

She ended up hiring the trainer but after a while, it was too expensive to continue working with him.

Although, he did point her in the right direction with helpful tips and learning the Lean Gains method from Martin Berkhan to get started on her fasting journey.

She tried and failed.

Diddi felt horrible the entire time and even suffered from some hormonal imbalances.

She thought fasting was only for guys.

But in reality, she was not doing intermittent fasting correctly! That's not what was causing the problem.
Why Did Fasting First Not Work?
Women and intermittent fasting is a topic I get asked about a lot. For women, succeeding with intermittent fasting comes down to a couple things.

First of all, she was not using the proper calorie deficit; it was way too low.

On top of that, she was following brutal workouts almost every day of the week!

She was also using a crazy strict feeding window. If 9 o'clock rolled around and she was busy, she would not eat until her next feeding window, leaving her with sometimes less than 1,000 calories that day.
This is why I stress the importance of simply pushing your first meal back 6 or 7 hours and then having the flexibility to finish eating on YOUR schedule, making fasting effortless.
Basically, Diddi was starving herself and trudging through intense workouts, which is exactly what was causing all the issues for her.
The Turning Point
Back in July, her friend recommended she check out Kinobody and how Greg approached fasting and training.

She almost said no, but my advice was starting to make sense.

There was still a struggle going on. Being a mom of two children, life is always busy and she was trying her best to stick to her routine of fasted cardio in the morning and weight training in the evening. She did this almost every day!

Diddi began caring about her health and fitness for the sake of being here longer for her kids, but this wasn't what she wanted; fitness was starting to take more than give.

She had to unlearn everything she thought she knew about getting in great shape.

One of my articles, The Six Rules of Effortless Fasting, truly resonated with her and things finally started to make sense!

After her very first week of applying what I talked about, she was already down 2.5 pounds with a half inch off her waist. She also felt more energetic and had better mental clarity from fasting.

Now, Diddi only trains 3 days per week (no more), and gets the majority of her cardio from walking... and actually looks forward to her workouts.
Diddi's Advice For Women
The adjustment period when first trying intermittent fasting may be a bit difficult, but approaching it with an open mind and actually following through with it is absolutely life changing.

But you actually need to try it and see how it works for you.

The best thing of all is that Diddi no longer feels the cravings she always got when that time of the month rolls around. She is in complete control of herself and diet.

She now understands that you do not need to make yourself feel guilty about eating certain foods or forcing yourself to go to cardio after. That is straight punishment!

Understanding how to incorporate foods you enjoy into your diet while still leaning down is what's going to keep you consistent in the long run to your goals.
