In this episode Dr Jen and Dr Sally introduce themselves through stories that illustrate how they came to this work of understanding transformation. Both experienced periods of great suffering, and needed to understand what was happening to them, and how they could heal themselves. Both share personal stories of how they were driven to find both conceptual information and practices that they could then apply to their own inarticulate pain. Both then experienced profound healing from these different practices, and were then curious to know how this change occurred. Both went on to study the actual mechanisms of transformation, and experience much deeper integration, and equanimity. They understand that with powerful tools suffering can disappear, despite pain and pleasure remaining, in all sentient bodies. With combined academic studies in the arts, creativity studies, transformative education, transpersonal psychology, ecopsychology, spirituality, and feminism, this podcast will explore the many ways we all resist, block, induce, facilitate or co-operate with change. They draw on many disciplines (multi-perspectival thinking) to look at the phenomenon of fractal transformation - of self, other, world and universe.
