Crystal is the wife of a "wounded combat veteran," author, and business owner. Her husband was in the first surge in Iraq and was wounded three times.
She shares the journey of caring for her husband, at the same time she was a young mother of two young children. Her husband suffered a TBI from his injuries and eventually ended up paralyzed on the left side of his body and in a wheelchair.
She remembers saying I didn't sign up for this life. Her husband needed help with feeding clothing and bathing. Things got so bad one day she put him in the corner in his wheelchair went out to the car and was leaving. This became the turning point in their marriage.
They came to a place of growing together and having Christ first in their lives. In that growth, she learned what it meant to communicate in grace.
Together they started the non-profit, Steel Hope, and purchased property to serve veterans and their families.
She founded her own design business Crysteel Creations
