When they burst onto the scene in the 80s, The Go-Gos became the darlings of MTV. But their rise to fame wasn’t the bubblegum fairytale their image radiated. Instead, it was filled with grit, and hard work and a punk rock ethic. This week we explore their journey from LA’s tiny clubs to Madison Square Garden.

Special Thanks to Alison Ellwood and Kathy Valentine for being our guests. Thanks also to Lauren Klaiman, Joanna Salini and everyone at Showtime for their support.

Be sure to visit our website for a link to this week's soundtrack and be sure to check out The Go-Gos documentary on Showtime.
