Athletes who set expectations so high that they seem unrealistic and unattainable, so much so that even the thought of pursuing such lofty goals create self-doubt, leading to procrastination and avoidance. Perfectionist athletes display high levels of swinging confidence that ultimately diminishes when things begin to fall apart. Avoidance is at the core of many psychological conditions, including perfectionism.

In Episode 2, Ty tells the story of how he's battled with perfectionism, and speaks about his experience working to mitigate the harsh realities of perfectionism. He talks about adjusting his mindset over the years, what’s been successful for him, and the challenges he sometimes faces when perfectionism rears its ugly head.

Ty shares how he responded and how he works to address it daily. Plus, as someone who's lived with depression, he shares that battle, how he came to terms with it and how be learned to persevere in spite of it.
