Guest:

Dr. Linda Slak practices with her husband in Burlington, MA where she has provided chiropractic care to families for over thirty years. She is dedicated to advancing the authentic philosophy, science, and art of chiropractic with a neurologically-oriented approach to optimizing the expression of human potential.

In this episode, we will cover:

  • Building on the information from the last couple episodes on Baby's milestones and primitive reflexes, Dr. Slak walks us through how to allow your baby to naturally grow and develop through the first year of life
  • Understanding that neurodevelopment of your baby's brain is happening with breastfeeding (not just nourishment)
  • Why we shouldn't keep a baby upright for more than 1-2 hours per day in the first months and how it can negatively affect their brain development
  • Why the progression of going from lying down to coming to sitting should be done by the baby themselves rather than us "helping" them to sit too soon
  • More on crawling, walking and the 2nd year of life too
