On this week's episode of the Any Given Runday podcast, we welcome sub 3 hour marathon runner Maebh Brannigan.
Maebh shares her experience as a competitive runner, including her remarkable transition from track athletics to falling out of love with running to getting into long-distance running. In her first marathon, she clocked a seriously impressive 2 hours 53 minutes in Dublin and has her sights set on even faster times in the coming years.
Maebh talks about the importance of training with a group - running with the Dublin Endurance Project, overcoming injuries, and balancing her social life with her rigorous training schedule, along with her love for sea swimming.
She also shares her ambitions of winning the Dublin Marathon and potentially representing Ireland in international competitions.
In the intro to this week's podcast, the lads talk about what they are looking forward to in the Olympics, the serious prize money on offer for the Cork City 10k on August 18th as well as Seán's upcoming 5k in Celbridge and 10k in Naas as he builds back up towards the Dublin Marathon
