Known for decades that movement is good for your physical wellbeing, it is only fairly recently a mainstream idea that it is also good for your mental wellbeing. Michelle is joined by Dr. Michael Hosking, owner of Revocycle, a cycling studio dedicated to mindful meditative movement. In the midst of a depressive episode, Michael became his own case-study, and set out on a mission to understand the science behind the mechanisms in play. In addition to the fascinating information, their conversation leads to many allied beliefs—one being the destructive messaging from the Fitness Industrial Complex. Both Michelle and Michael are passionate about refining the approach to exercise, encouraging people to embrace movement to enhance all aspects of wellbeing.
