Dr. Berg answered the question from someone who wanted to know if protein can bump you out of ketosis. The behavior of protein in a low carbohydrate environment is different. The purpose of protein is to replace body tissue parts and it is not going to be acting primarily as a fuel reserve.
2 Things to Remember:
1. Make sure not to consume excessive amounts of protein – It can spike insulin and create other issues
2. Do not add carbs with protein
