Anton Cooper is a New Zealand cross-country MTBer who races for the Trek Factory Racing XC Team. He is the 2015 World Under 23 Cross-country MTB champion, 2014 Commonwealth Games Cross-country MTB champion and the 2012 World Junior Cross-country MTB champion. After being sidelined for most of the 2016 season -including the Rio Olympic Games – recovering from chronic fatigue syndrome, Anton returned to the highest level in 2017 with a couple of solid results on the World Cup circuit. At only 23 years old, Anton is currently ranked 6th on the UCI list and has his sights firmly set on a gold medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
