Host Lynette Whiteman reflects on the mixed emotions that occur for many caregivers when celebrating joyous events in their life. People recognize that after a loved one passes away there will be sadness that they won't be there. But, as Lynette explains, there is also a great deal of sadness when your loved one is still alive, but affected by an illness like dementia which makes them uninterested and totally detached.
