My guest this week is Tandy Elisala who is a podcaster, an author, a presenter at the upcoming National Caregiving Conference, a Family Caregiver Coach and Cancer Empowerment Advocate. Tandy's passion is helping family caregivers go from stressed out and overwhelmed to empowered and calm. Boy - can't we all use that!! Today, we are going to discuss what self-care and legacy have in common. It's a different way to think about things. Tandy often hears about the self-care struggles of caregivers. We are going to highlight a few examples of how these two things intersect. One example is how making a meal for our loved one can be viewed as self-care when THEY sit and eat with them. Then, caregivers can ask some legacy related questions to invite a conversation of the heart. Such an interesting way to think about our legacies and one I haven't thought about before. I can't wait to explore this topic! Here's a link to Tandy's facebook group - The Empowered Family Caregiver.
