Happy Halloween week and happy Samhain (pronounced “Sow-in”), my friends!

As the leaves turn and the air chills around us, we delve into this enchanting time of year, often called “Spooky Season”! This episode is not just a nod to the dark and witchy Halloween aesthetic but an exploration of ancient autumn traditions and how we can best incorporate their themes and lessons into our modern-day lives.

👻 In today’s episode, we travel back 5000 years to uncover the history and rituals of Samhain, the precursor to our contemporary Halloween. It’s a time when the veil between our world and the world of spirits is at its thinnest, and the falling leaves and chill in the air invite us indoors where we can hibernate like the rest of nature.

🌲 I draw parallels between the cycles of nature and our own need for rest and reflection. Just like the majestic Redwoods teach us the power of repose, we discuss how embracing a period of hibernation can recharge our souls and prepare us for a season of even deeper growth.

💡 For anyone feeling the weight of stress or the jitters of anxiety, this episode also offers a simple yet profound breathing technique to ground yourself and bring your body the peace of knowing you are safe.

So whether you’re interested in the mystic history of seasonal festivals, seeking self-care inspiration, or need to find calm amidst the chaos, tune in for an episode that weaves together wisdom of ages past with traditions of the modern-day.

I hope you enjoy it! 🧙🏻‍♀️
