I am thrilled to welcome Speedy Pete Laubmeier as my co-host for episode #11.

Speedy Pete is one of the deepest and most caring humans I know. Pete always puts his family first, then helping others second, and third, his dirt bike motorcycle.

Speedy recognizes his #1 job in life as doing right by his family and with his wife Rachel, instilling responsibility, focus, discipline, and fun in their two boys.

Pete founded a kids developmental riding program and has coached almost 1,000 kids on how to ride better for safety, fun, and speed. He is a founding member of the Tech Advisory Board at his local high school district and has spent more than a decade as a sitting board member for the Madison College in Wisconsin on their Advisory Board

We have a great conversation about doing what we think is right, what are those things that might hold most of us back in life, the value of believing in ourselves, and the importance of empowering others.

Speedy Pete has been racing off-road dirt bike motorcycles for more than 30 years and some of his highlights include more than 25 championship titles in the premier “A” Class of multiple disciplines of dirt bike competitions, three-time overall state enduro champion, and two-time stadium cross champion. Pete is a product development test rider for Moose Racing and was the IMCA “A” Modified rookie driver of the year in these dirt track race cars.

Pete is currently recovering from an injury which brings up several big issues like possibly facing the end of a competitive career, the dark feelings we sometimes face when immobile at home, and starting to have the tough family talks with our parents about estate plans.

With dual degrees in machine tool and mechanical design, Pete has excelled at his job doing R&D, sales, and engineering projects for a plastics company where he started 29 years ago, sweeping the floor.

If you know Speedy Pete, you will be sure to be interested in the conversation, and if you do not know Speedy, you will know him after listening, and I think you will value the time to do so. Thanks ~ Roger
