Toni Collier had the chance to have a conversation with her good friend Jessica Honegger, founder of Noonday. They talk about trauma, trauma being felt as pain, and that pain being experienced alone. When we wonder how in the world we feel seen, soothed, safe, and secure, it’s through community that we find people that will look us in the eye and say, “I’m not leaving the room.” Jessica also shares a really traumatic story of her son almost drowning. She also speaks to perseverance, and how perseverance is practicing letting God love the parts we really despise. This episode will help you figure out how to heal those parts that you despise, how to welcome those aspects into your life, and how to allow them to experience freedom.
