BBR travels halfway around the world in this episode to discover more about the Hong Kong trail running scene.

Jody and David speak to John Ellis, the Aussie-born Hong Kong-based trail running legend who somehow manages to juggle his desk job with hitting what are some pretty horrific/wonderful trails Hong Kong has to offer AND running his own sports brand Gone Running.

In this episode, we discover:

  • How John manages to handle running so many races on back-to-back weekends and win
  • The lowdown on why Hong Kong is such a challenging but
  • Exactly what it means to run the infamous 9 Dragons race
  • The hilarious transitions between stage of the equally infamous Four Trails race (taxi anyone?)
  • His terrible/excellent nutrition plan for staying top of his game
  • How he uses strength work to stay injury-free and get an edge on his competition
  • What he believes are the best races Hong Kong and the surrounding areas have to offer

Enjoy!
