For this Story Session, I’m joined by one of the most authentic examples of joyful movement. Sandra Mikulic is here to share her inspiring journey from treadmill workouts to outdoor trail races. At 43 Sandra started walking on her treadmill, gradually picking up the pace. In 2018, she went on her first outdoor run, a 7K jog. The experience made her feel like an Olympian, despite her modest pace.

This newfound passion led Sandra to sign up for four local races, including a half marathon and three 10Ks. She trained by immersing herself in the running community on YouTube and Instagram, drawing inspiration from diverse runners like Mirna Valerio and Latoya Shauntay Snell. Tune in to hear how running transformed Sandra's life and how she is helping soon-to-be runners everywhere stop hiding behind their size.

To learn more about Sandra, you can check out her website and magazine at www.runyourlife.ca, or follow her IG at @bigfit_i_run.
