Why parenting techniques or anger therapy could never help you stop yelling at your kids?
I usually share this in our "Mommy/Daddy Tantrum" trainings. But after I explain the first key piece about healing your own childhood (generational developmental) trauma, there's only a little time left to explain the second, equally important piece - Mental Fitness.
Because imagine this: your uncontrollable anger is gone. You no longer lose control over your emotions, your not screaming. But then what? What do you do when your kids are still not listening, they are still too late, still keep hitting you or their siblings, still doing the things that are not ok... How do you make them listen without punishing, or shaming them? And how do you show them a healthy example of respect, boundaries, and healthy emotional control?
That's where the Mental Fitness piece comes in.
