Jill Angie is a trailblazer. She is changing the conversation for fat women over 40 and for anyone who thinks they're too old or too slow.
She is making huge waves in the running game and it was an absolute joy to share an hour with her.
I am currently training for a marathon and Jill's own podcasts have inspired me and have been my constant companion on my long solo training runs.
When Jill started running over 20 years ago, all she wanted to do was burn calories and lose weight but she hated every minute of it. It felt punishing and she was always frustrated and disappointed. So in 2009 she decided to stop thinking about running as a means to an end and started using it as a tool to build up her strength and confidence.
She has built a running community around her and helps women become consistent exercisers and silence their inner bullies and find out what their bodies are truly capable of. *
We chatted easily about our running challenges, how to overcome the mental battles and be ok with not achieving a PB and not running the fastest race.
We talk about the definition of success when it comes to running and why we feel we have to push ourselves so hard.
Jill reminds us all that if you have a body and you run, you have a runner's body.
I hope this episode blows you away and helps you challenge your inner critic and stop shoulding all over yourself.
You can find Jill on Instagram or via her website.

Are you feeling stuck in the 'earn and burn' cycle with your exercise routine, or as summer approaches, are you feeling self-conscious about wearing a swimsuit on the beach?
Maybe you just want to stop worrying so much about food or how your body looks.
You are not alone and your body is NOT the problem
