In this podcast, we’re going to talk about MCT oil and sleep. There are a ton of great benefits of MCT oil, but today I want to share with you how to use MCT oil to improve sleep quality.

What is MCT oil? - MCT oil is medium-chain triglycerides that convert to ketones very efficiently.

There is a huge connection between getting oxygen and sleeping. We don’t sleep well if we aren’t getting enough oxygen. Ketones actually give you oxygen and less CO2.

The brain prefers ketones if there are enough ketones in your blood. If you’re just starting out on ketosis or you want to spike ketones, you can take MCT oil to do that. Certain parts of the brain that promote sleep can actually run on ketones.

When you take MCT oil for sleep, you want to start with a small amount and work your way up to more to avoid digestive issues.

How to use MCT oil for sleep:

• Start off taking 1/2 teaspoon of MCT oil before bed and slowly increase to 1 teaspoon if needed.
