Susan sits down with Candace Plattor, an Addictions Counselor and author of Loving an Addict, Loving Yourself. Candace is celebrating 35 years sober and while her 15year addiction story might have occurred long ago, it's a story that we continue to hear today: negligent doctors prescribing opioids in cases where proper treatment should be utilized. For over 30 years Candace has guiding addicts and their families on a journey to recovery and healing. It does indeed take a village.
