Mental health has quite rightly been spoken about a lot in the last few years and even more so through 2020 when the pandemic made it extremely difficult for a lot of people to cope from a psychological point of view. With emerging researching identifying that so many factors can effect our mentality, this week we speak about one of those factors that we have some element of control over... food. Food and mood researcher and Registered Dietitian Sophie Mahoney, discusses the latest evidence we have around how what we eat can impact our mood and mental wellbeing.

Things we discuss:

  • Gut health
  • Indications of a healthy gut
  • How to optimise diet
  • Research behind brain health and gut health
  • Specific foods to support our wellbeing
  • Probiotics
  • & more!

We would like to thank this weeks sponsor Nine Meals From Anarchy, a vegetable stock brand who make their products with actual veg. Their convictions about how food should be produced has always been connected to the belief that your meal should be as good for you and as good for the environment as possible. And it should taste fantastic. They are vegan, organic, gluten free and palm oil free and each jar serves 14 portions! They have become an absolute staple in our kitchen and we hope you love them as much as we do! To try out their delicious products head to their website https://www.ninemealsfromanarchy.co.uk
