In this week’s episode, Hannah and Ali talk all things Intuitive Eating principle #6: Feel Your Fullness. They are joined once again by Certified Body Trust provider and registered dietitian Aaron Flores. Aaron joined Hannah and Ali last season on one of their most popular episodes about body trust so they knew they had to have him back again. Aaron has worked in eating disorders in a variety of settings with a focus on Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size where he helps individuals make peace with food and develop body-positive behaviors so there was no better topic to bring him back for then answering all your listener questions on fullness. Does fullness lead to weight gain? Is it okay to feel fullness? How do I stop the guilt and shame I feel with fullness? What does fullness actually feel like? How do I learn about fullness when I have always been a member of the clean plate club? Will fullness cues become more tolerable over time? Why is it that I always feel full as soon as I eat? Diet culture tries to reduce Intuitive Eating to simply the “eat when you’re hungry, stop when you are full” diet but the connection to our body is SO much more than that. The purpose of Intuitive Eating is to connect body, mind and the food we eat which means learning to allow and respect the sensations that come with fullness. In this week’s episode Hannah, Ali and Aaron will start you on the path towards using this sixth principle of Intuitive Eating to give you permission to truly feel your fullness while tuning into and trusting your body.

Make sure to head over to the @eatcakepod Instagram account Thursdays at 3pm PST for a live support "Snack Time & Chill"- a chance for a supported snack at a physical distance, to ask your nutrition questions and have some laughs along the way.
