In the motorcycle community its common to tune your bike and purchase modifications. It can become addictive to create change and can come at a cost. Often this mods to increase value of the actual motorcycle -- it is a preference. It is a way to change the way the bike is perceived.
In 2023 filters, face tune, gym routines, and cosmetic procedures are all ways we tune and body mod how we are perceived in the world. At one point does the line cross from healthy self expression to an addictive fix to negative self talk.
On the podcast we talk about body image and why it's more important than ever to do a self audit on how we narrate our inner talk and the why behind tune ups and body mods.
