Although serving as a police officer is gratifying and demanding at the same time, circumstantial stressors are abundant in police work. With inadequate sleep, lengthy shifts, social isolation, and constant exposure to harmful human traits, our fuses and energy shorten that there may come a moment when the individual decides it is time to move on, think about their well-being and explore another professional path.
