Dr. Torkil Færø is a Norwegian general practitioner and emergency physician, documentary filmmaker, author and photographer. Over a 25-year career as a freelance doctor, he has worked all over Norway, had tens of thousands of consultations, and gained a unique picture of the diseases that plague us. He has learned that the cause is most often found in the stresses our lifestyles place on our bodies.
He has written two books, including the recent The Pulse Cure: Balance stress, optimise health and live longer, which was just released in the US after spending over a year and a half on the top of the book charts in Norway.
The key of The Pulse Cure lies in measuring your heart rate variability which indicates what is happening in your autonomic nervous system. Tuning into your heart rate variability (HRV) can show you how your personal constitution reacts to specific stressors and help you tailor what you need to do to recharge.
Whether you are healthy but want to take a proactive approach to your health, or exhausted and want your energy back, Dr. Færø's clear, upbeat guidance will help you to get healthy using accessible data, thanks to our smart devices.
