In this episode, I share my thoughts on how I found comfort one day in thinking that life is like a patchwork quilt - sometimes created out of love, and perhaps sometimes pain, there are some parts where the stitches are perfect, and others where it is messy, and loose, and not so pretty. The patchwork quilt (and life) is beautiful in its entirety, even if some patches are rough and not so beautiful. And while each of our lives are uniquely ours, and we may have different experiences from anyone else, we may all have experienced similar feelings throughout our lives, of joy, love, pain, sadness, loneliness and loss. I also describe how we make incorrect assumptions about other people's lives, and perhaps if we all shared a little more, we would discover we are not alone. I touch on the concept of choosing happiness as well.
My message ends with a "meditative talk", a bit of calming breath work, relaxation, and a talk to help us reflect on how life can be beautiful, even with the difficult times, or at least, we can find a way to gain acceptance and peace.
