Brett Smith is a former Population Health Management and Risk Management executive turned health coach, author, and health activist.
One day, a family member who had achieved amazing results on a low-carbohydrate diet, piqued Brett’s curiosity. He had spent over 20 years in the health insurance, corporate wellness, disease management, and pharma industries and had never heard the words "low carb or keto". Always loving a good mystery, he put on his detective hat and started down the rabbit hole.
Eventually he started his channel My Metabolic Life, which focuses on the relationship between how our metabolism impacts our health. His focus is to explore the culprit to most of what ails us, which is mitochondria dysfunction. This not only includes the chronic diseases that hardly ever existed 100 years ago, but also most of our mental health and neurologic conditions.
He has also recently started the channel called- Metabochondriacs Brett Smith & Dr. Ryan Cooley - Awakening & Healing w/ Metabolic Therapy. They will be sharing topics regarding how our metabolic health dictates much of what is happening in our physical and mental health.
