Today we are so excited to welcome Jenna Werner to the show! Jenna is mom of soon to be two, registered dietitian nutritionist, founder of Happy Strong Healthy, and co-founder of The Dietitian Business Collective. She believes food should be fun and that you can reach your health goals without deprivation and diet micromanagement and that true health is dependent on both physical and mental wellbeing. Over the next 30 minutes, we discuss how you practice intuitive eating with your children and navigate all of the “rules” that are put on parents and toddlers around food. From addressing the impact of diet culture to promoting intuitive eating, we'll explore the importance of open communication, debunk strict food rules, and help parents build a healthy relationship with their child's food choices In today’s episode, we cover:
  • The challenges parenting toddlers and setting boundaries
  • Allowing choice and autonomy in your child’s food decisions
  • The importance of how we talk to our children about food
  • Resources that are available for parents on feeding and the “rules”
