Kristen is a Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) Practitioner with the IFS Institute, with nearly 400 hours of IFS training in Levels 1, 2, and 3 and IFS couples and relational work (known as “Intimacy from the Inside Out” or "IFIO"). She has served as a Program Assistant for IFS Institute Level 1 and Level 2 trainings, is on staff for IFIO trainings, and has received a Certificate in Clinical Applications of IFS Therapy from the Adler Graduate Professional School. Kristen also incorporates somatic and group work in her practice and has participated in an IFS Healing Circles workshop, Somatic IFS retreats, and is currently training in Somatic Experiencing.

Additionally, Kristen is licensed to practice as an attorney and certified mediator with Arrow Creek Law & Mediation, providing services in the areas of Indian tribal government law, tribal employment law, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution.

Kristen is passionate about the profound healing that is possible with the IFS model for individuals as well as groups and communities, and she appreciates its respectful and collaborative approach, including integration of legacy and cultural aspects, which are particularly important in working with indigenous communities. She is inspired by the tremendous potential of IFS and IFIO for mediation, conflict resolution, and relationship building in light of the deepening polarizations witnessed throughout our society, and she remains hopeful in working towards a shift from an adversarial paradigm to one of collaboration and respect for all peoples.
